ISA/IEC 62443 Certification Requirements

Certificate 1: ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Fundamentals Specialist
- This certificate program consists of a two-day intensive training program and exam.
- Two-Day Classroom Course: Using the ISA/IEC 62443 Standards to Secure Your Industrial Control System (IC32)
- Candidates must successfully complete the course and pass the exam to receive their certificate.
- An application is not required for this program.
- There are no required prerequisites.
- At least some level of knowledge or exposure to the ISA/IEC 62443 standards is recommended.
Certificate 2: ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Risk Assessment Specialist
- This certificate program consists of a three-day intensive training program and exam.
- Three-Day Classroom Course: Assessing the Cybersecurity of New or Existing IACS Systems (IC33)
- Candidate must complete and attain Certificate 1 eligibility.
- Candidates must successfully complete the course and pass the exam to receive their certificate.
Certificate 3: ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Design Specialist
- This certificate program consists of a three-day intensive training program and exam.
- Three-Day Classroom Course: IACS Cybersecurity Design & Implementation (IC34)
- Candidate must complete and attain Certificate 1 eligibility.
- Candidates must successfully complete the course and pass the exam to receive their certificate.
Certificate 4: ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Maintenance Specialist
- This certificate program consists of a three-day intensive training program and exam.
- Three-Day Classroom Course: IACS Cybersecurity Operations & Maintenance (IC37)
- Candidate must complete and attain Certificate 1 eligibility.
- Candidates must successfully complete the course and pass the exam to receive their certificate.
Renewal
Because the ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Certificate Programs are certificates and not certifications, you are not required to renew your ISA/IEC 62443 Certificate(s); however, once obtained your certificate(s) will only be considered current for three (3) years. After your three-year expiration date, your certificate’s status will no longer be considered active and you will not be able to claim that you hold a current/active ISA/IEC 62443 certificate.
